JOSHUA 17:18 - The Axe

A reminder that God's promises often come with a responsibility. Faith isn't only asking for more—it is faithfully using what He has already placed in your hands.

The people of Joseph asked Joshua for more land because they believed what they had wasn't enough. Joshua answered differently. He told them to clear the forest and drive out the inhabitants. In other words, God had already provided the opportunity—they now had to act in faith.

"You asked for more land. God gave you an axe."

reminds us that God often answers our prayers by giving us the means to move forward rather than removing every obstacle. Faith is not passive. It trusts God's promise and gets to work.
